"The pressure to always know what’s next is a scam."—thank you! I'm so tired of seeing everywhere in the media characters who were destined to be something. I’ve always had too many interests, too many attempts at something new. I had one passion that left me burned out, depressed, and desperate. So, I decided to change everything, making myself look like a girl who's just unable to stick to one thing. And this is so scary, yet so liberating—to be able to do anything I want, to live anywhere I want, to start over in my 30s. I realized that my first (new) job doesn't have to be perfect; it doesn't have to be the thing I’ll do for the rest of my life. It's just a stepping stone on my new, exciting journey. And God, does it feel good to find someone who understands and encourages that!

Yes, yes, yes!! I love all of this! And I'm so happy you're approaching your life this way. Life's too short not to do what feels right to you, no matter how scary! ✨🥰

"Almost everything that happens is either a good time, or a good story!"

Really enjoyed the read, always worth just flinging it at the wall and seeing what sticks. I find myself thinking about all the times things went wrong on holidays rather than the perfect ones!

Absolutely love that quote! thanks so much for sharing! And it's so true, I very much live by the 'see what sticks' mantra these days and it's been a refreshing change! ✨☺️

This is so cringey but I like to live my life imagining it will one day in a book - it encourages me to do lots of random things and to follow those "what if I..." moments and like you said, they are never big lightening bolt moments.. it's usually just a thought whilst doing something boring (working, washing the floor, doing the laundry, trying to fall asleep" and i'm just like well, what if I tried circus tricks. I could be real good at it and never have known.

Not cringey at all! That's such a beautiful way to live, especially when it's organic to you. Some people do that but in the more performative sense, as in social media, "what if I did this, would it get more likes?' - but I love that you do that for YOURSELF. Keep trying new things! I love this so much!!

In this exact position at the moment and in a sea of people who seem to know what they're doing, it's so refreshing to find others with this perspective. I love your optimism in turning problem into opportunity- thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for this! As a kid, I was made to feel bad for starting something and not seeing it through to the end due to the time and resources "wasted." This conditioning stuck with me into adulthood, but as I develop self-awareness, I realize that it's OK to have multiple interests, some of which are short-lived, while others turn into long-term passion!

The beauty of starting is something I’m actively trying to appreciate & internalize these days. May we all get through the discomfort & find ourselves better off on the other side. 💕

"Clarity doesn’t come from sitting there, endlessly replaying the same options like a broken record. It comes from doing. From trying." This got to me in a moment of self doubt (which has lasted 3 months). Thank you Ash, I love the videos and narrations.
